FARBENSTUECK Paints Abstract and Uplifting, Tactile Works of Art

| May 23, 2015

German artist FARBENSTUECK creates abstract paintings known for their colorful, 3-D effects. Constantly experimenting with new mediums, FARBENSTUECK prefers to work with acrylics, gold leaf, and filler, which gives her pieces a tactile, sculpted effect.

For her, every painting is representative of a feeling or emotion pulled from her memories of traveling, a favorite piece of music, or the zeitgeist of the moment. The act of painting is something she finds therapeutic, as it allows her the freedom to explore her emotions, femininity, and passions without restraint. Correspondingly, there is something very refreshing and uplifting about FARBENSTUECK’s work that captures the viewer’s attention and connects them to the artist in a personal way.

As someone interested in oneness and spiritual journeys, FARBENSTUECK has been inspired by her recent trips to India to meditate on the importance of gratitude in her life and the lives of others. She blesses every painting before passing it on to its future owner, and would like her work to uplift people, help them be more thoughtful, and give them a sense of inner peace.

About the Exhibition

Spatial Articulation: An Exhibition of Transforming Art

Spatial Articulation is an art exhibition all about how color, patterns, and geometry can transform a space. The artworks featured include kaleidoscopic maelstroms, arabesque flowers, minimalist geometries, and wispy, hushed abstractions. The techniques used by each artist allow the colors and motion of their works to latch onto the viewer’s preconceptions in order to redefine the canvases and even the rooms they occupy. In this regard, the viewer travels from piece to piece while also traveling from past to future, morosity to giddiness, and even nation to nation: each through sheer association.
